Help me take it back.
Today is International Women’s Day, where we celebrate the vast achievements of women across the globe in all areas of life: Social, economic and political.
2017 and 2018 have been particularly important and exciting for women, as so many have found their voice and decided to speak out against injustice, discrimination and lack of equal representation.
We are making bigger and better strides every day, and we can’t afford to lose any momentum. Pay equity is still not where it needs to be, women’s health care seems to be forever under attack by the Republican Party, and women only make up between 20-25% of elected officials at the state and national levels.
The good news is, we can change all of those things and more.
By electing more women to public office, we can balance the scales. Not just for women today, but for future generations of women who will benefit from our progress.
Democrats – and women in particular – have a huge opportunity this year to TAKE BACK CONGRESS. Please join me in fighting for more inclusive policies and representation by contributing any amount you can here.
2018 could be a major turning point for women – but only if we stick together and keep fighting for what is right.
Thank you for standing with me,
