Trump has surrounded himself with men who mistreat women
President Trump surrounds himself with men who have been accused of assaulting women, and he himself has been accused of misconduct by dozens of women.
Corey Lewandowski, Andy Puzder, Steve Bannon, David Sorensen, and now most recently Rob Porter have all been accused of mistreatment of women. They have also been some of Trump’s closest advisers and aids throughout his campaign and presidency.
Now, he’s rushing to their defense, and trying to portray Porter—who is accused of beating up two women—and these other men as victims. According to Trump, “Peoples lives are being shattered and destroyed by a mere allegation.” However, he fails to even mention the real victims: The women who were actually hurt.
This is consistent behavior by Trump. He often takes the side of the male rather than the victim, as he did with Fox News host Bill O’Reilly and former Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore. It also represents a total disconnect from the #MeToo movement and the plight of women everywhere who have had to deal with these issues regularly and are now finally getting a voice to speak out.
I take the allegations of these women seriously and feel it’s imperative to block Trump as soon as possible:
